What’s on the To-Do List of SoCal’s Sustainable Communities Strategy Report?

Just recently the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) adopted its first ever Sustainable Communities Strategy.

According to the NRDC SCAG is the nation’s largest metropolitan planning organization, representing six counties: Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura and Imperial. Its planning area covers 38,000 square miles, including 191 cities and more than 18 million residents.

With such a large area to cover, the traffic, sprawl, and everything that goes along with those things, the task of trying to make environmentally sound improvements is pretty daunting.
