Besides being a TV and movie star and a dedicated environmentalist who founded the Ian Somerhalder Foundation, Ian Somerhalder can now add upcycled furniture designer to his already impressive resume.
Somerhalder, working together with his brother Bob, recently opened Built of Barnwood, a store that sells furniture made of pieces of old building materials and reclaimed and recycled wood to create re-purposed treasures including home furnishings, art work, and accent pieces. The store is located in Bay St Louis Mississippi.
According to their website, “Bob Somerhalder and Ian Somerhalder strive for a greener more sustainable economy. With this green desire in mind, they have launched a clean and sustainable business that is a hot and trendy product line for home decor and furniture.”
Kudos to that.
