Helen Bernstein High School

Back to Schools List

As the EMA School Gardens Program launch site, Bernstein planted their first seeds in May 2009. Already planted with tomatoes, roses, artichokes, and dahlias the garden will expand its array of crops during the upcoming school year. Constructed with a drip irrigation system, the garden can handle a wide variety of native plant species.

Tended by the Garden Club and set to be an educational site for the environmental science class, the fledgling garden will continue to grow as a learning center for all of Bernstein’s students and teachers.
