Eliot Middle School

Back to Schools List

Charles W. Eliot Middle School was founded in 1931. In 1988, Eliot was selected as one of 100 Partnership schools in the state. The purpose of this program is to establish a network of middle schools which show the initiative and commitment to explore, experiment, and implement the state of the art teaching, methods and strategies to enhance student learning and outcomes. Eliot belongs to Region G with 15 other middle schools in the San Gabriel Valley. In October of 1991, Eliot was again selected by the State as one of 80 schools to revamp the state’s mathematics curriculum and assessment in middle schools. Because of our lead in the merging of technology and education we were asked to be part of the historic Educational Summit conducted by the Governor Pete Wilson and the Speaker Willie Brown in February of 1994.
