the Andrews family, in front of their home in
South Central LA. The system that the
Andrews have received through the program will eliminate their $1000+ yearly electric bill. |

What is the BP Solar Neighbors
Program?
Celebrities are soaking up the sun with BP Solar panels -
making pollution free electricity for their homes and at the
same time helping low income families in California - all
as part of the BP Solar Neighbors Program.
How does it work?
Every time a celebrity joins the BP Solar Neighbors
Program by purchasing a BP Solar Home Solution, BP donates
a solar system to a low income family in California. (Since
solar systems are modular and so can come in almost any size,
every 6 kW qualifies for a matching system).
Who is participating?
Edward Norton, who proposed the concept to BP Solar while purchasing his own system, has lead the effort to enroll other celebrities. Solar systems have been donated to low income families through the BP Solar Neighbors Program thanks to these celebrity participants: Edward Norton, Ed Begley, Jr., Don Cheadle, Danny DeVito and Rhea Pearlman, Roland Emmerich, Larry Hagman, Daryl Hannah, Rob Thomas, Ben Goldhirsch, Carlos Santana, Alicia Silverstone, Buck Henry, Wendie Malick, John Densmore, Robin Williams, Naren Shankar, Anthony Keidis, Eric and Tania Idle, Peter Reckell, Owen Wilson, Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt, Will Ferrell, Jack Johnson and more to come!
How can I get involved?
If you are a celebrity and are interested in joining this important program, please call EMA at 310-446-6244. Help our Solar Neighbors community continue to grow!
The BP Solar Neighbors Program is driven by a partnership
between celebrities, BP (www.solarneighbors.com),
the Enterprise Foundation (www.enterprisefoundation.org)
and the Environmental Media Association, all with
the goal of promoting the benefits of solar power and helping
low-income families permanently reduce their energy bills
while being environmentally responsible.
