Our 21st Annual Environmental Media Awards, honoring film and television personalities, productions, musicians and musical tours that convey environmental messages in the most creative and influential ways, will be our most eco-friendly show to date.
Here’s what’s green about the 21st Annual Environmental Media Awards:
- All dinnerware is compostable
- All glassware is all reusable
- Event is completely water bottle–free. All water is provided by Brita FilterForGood
- Chef stations use local, seasonal, organic food
- Leftover food donated to homeless shelter via the Greater West Hollywood Food Coalition
- Serving organic Eel River Brewing Co. beer as well as VeeV Acai Spririt
- Talent often wears green designers
- Special Toyota hybrid lane valet for alternative fuel vehicles

- Waste Management handling recycling/composting and has developed a new technology that processes food waste to produce low carbon transportation fuel (LNG or CNG).
Likewise, EMA is working with ShowPro, a carbon neutral lighting company that works with LED light fixtures that use 1/10 the power of incandescents. ShowPro also offsets their carbon footprint by investing in programs that remove the same amount of carbon from the air as they produce.

Love your work! Appreciate what you do!
We are looking for a celebrity who might be interested in branding a product line around producing food at home….our first product is http://www.eleanorsgarden.com which is being rebranded and we have many very cool related products and so much good to do with this in schools, urban balconies, with elderly and disabled people…and so much more. Do you have a formal process for putting celebrities with product endorsements? This is a terrific group and the lift from a celebrity would be a very appropriate miracle right now! I thought it would be worth the inquiry…ask and you shall receive, right?
Best,
Marcia
